Supernatural originated from when the entire World was created, splitting into two. The Shadow Dimension, and the Overworld. The Overworld flourished with life, with trees and animals running everywhere. Little animals grew up, and they had families. Along with the animals and plants, regular mortals also flourished. This was not so in the Shadow Dimension. The Shadow Dimension was filled with the dead. Spirits and the poisonous, carnivorous plants. However, there was another factor.
The spirits possessed the natural talent to switch between worlds. The humans didn't know this, so naturally, they started falling in love with the spirits. The spirits also possessed the natural talent of a very strong aura. The male and female spirits got together with the humans, and they too, fell in love. Several of the couples produced offspring called Halfas. Otherwise known as Half-Spirits.
The half-spirits (Halfas) possessed powers such as pyrokinesis, precognition, empathy, and many more. The half-spirits grew up, and the humans began killing them off. They were forced into hiding with the struggle to keep their very strong auras down, and to try to control their powers. After two decades, the half-spirits started to slowly repopulate with the exception of some very smart ghosts who decided to put human suits on and breed again.
However, after three decades more, the humans, spirits, and half-spirits began to fight. Physically fight. The humans started to die off, and the spirits got control over their sons and daughters. Now, with the human race struggling to survive, the spirits and half-spirits are on edge with them, and they continue to live on a barely controlled peace treaty.
